    1)   Industry - Status 

                                     The District Industries Centre , ( DIC Programme was launched on 1st May 1978 to provide on focal point for promotion of small , village & cattege industries & to provide all services & support to the decentralized , industrial sector.   

  2)     Infrastrural facilities Area in the District MIDC and CO.OP.Industrial Estate 

                           Located certain areas for Industrial purpose , Land in declared industrial Zone the unitsare entitled to procure land with  negotiations and with consent of revenue & town planning authorities for conversion into non Agriculture land for repaid and planned developement .

                            One Co-operative industrial estate and M.I.D.C. area have been established in the District.

4)      Category SSI unit in the District :-

              Bhandara District is mainly the paddy growing area. Also there is teakforest & Minerals resources. Due to above & also due to lack at enterpreneurship the district due remained industrially backword.

    The main industries in the district are Rice Mills , Poha Mills, Bidi manufacturing , Saw Mills , Brass manufacturing units , Ceramic Brics , Engineering workshop etc . In small sector. Industrywise classification cumulative registered unit a on August , 2002.

Maharashtra Industrial Corporation Limited (MIDC) has developed Industrial areas at following District and Talukas headquarters .

Bhandara MIDC (Gagegaon) :- is situated on Bhandara Nagpur Highway NH6 at arounh 80 Kms from Nagpur. It is around 13 Kms from Bhandara district Headquarter.

The land is located in the villages of Gadegaon , Chikhla , Hamesha and Rajegaon . The land acquired by MIDC has been developed and ameneties like road , water and electricity have been provided. 63 lots have been demarcated. These plots are ensured with 24 hours water supply through a water filtration on the Wenganga River.

Out of 63 plots 52 have distributed. Over the distributed plots 14 industrial units are working M/s Ashok Leyland , manufacturers if heavy vehicles is located in this MIDC zone only.It is spreaded over an area of 92 hectares . Besides this Hindustan Composite Limited , Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Limited , Surendra Qulity Purozine etc are also working here. A separate plot of 12 hectares is being distributed to M/s Viram Bioenergy Private Limited for develpoement of 7.5 Kv megawatt Biomass Power plant.

11 plots are still available. The plots are sold at a nominal rate of Rs 5 per sqm.

Tumsar Mini (MIDC) :- is located on Bhandara Gondia State Highway. This estate is based in the village Devhadi and is spread over an area of 10.71 hectares .The land acquired by MIDC has been developed and amenities like road , water and electricity have been provided. 23 plots have been demarcated.

Out of 23 plots 6 have been distributed. Over the distributed plots 3 industrial units are working.

  17 plots are still available. The plots are sold at a nominal rate of Rs 15 per sqm.

Mohadi Mini (MIDC) :- is located on Bhandara Gondia State Highway. This estate is based in the village Vadegaon and is spread over an area of 10.71 hectares . The land acquried by MIDC has been developed and amenities like road , water and electricity have been provided 49 plots have been demarcated.

     Out of 49 plots 2 have been distributed. Rest of the plots  are being sold at a nominal rate of Rs 10 per sqm.

Lakhandur Mini (MIDC) :- is located on Bhandara Pawni State Highway. This is based in the village Kinhala and is spread over an area of 11.90 hectares. The land acquried by MIDC is being developed .

    One plot has been hahded over to ITI.

Pawni Mini (MIDC) :- is located on Bhandara pawni State Highway. This estate will be based in the village Kechkheni & village Vahi and will be spread over an area of 10.15 hectares. The land is being acquried by MIDC.
